OK, so I've been slacking a little with my blog. It's been a rough couple of weeks. I feel like after I get finished with one thing there's something else that's big coming up right behind it. I feel like vacation and Aiva starting school is such a blur. Has it really only been a few weeks ago that all this happened? Yikes! So, to all of those faithful readers of my blog (I know...all two of you should pat yourself on the back) I owe you some kind of explanation. Now that I'm thinking of it, there doesn't seem to be much but believe me we've been busy.
OK, I guess after we got Aiva off to school for the first week was when things started to get crazy. We went to Nashville for Labor Day and had a great time. It was so much fun to meet up with Nate's family and our friends, Jeff, Sue, Josh & Danielle Schicks. The Schicks have recently moved from Florida to Nashville so we're so excited that we're going to get to see more of them. While we were in Nashville, we had to empty out our storage unit so we can finally get a unit in Ohio. Believe me, my parents definitely thought it was due time! I was also getting tired of sending a check to Nashville each month for something that we could never really get into or even see. It's finally good to actually put that behind us now. We had a long drive home from Nashville because Aiva had gotten sick and she came home in the car with a 102.8 fever. It was not a fun ride home but she was great despite feeling awful. She was out of school all week last week which put her a little behind with school but it was nice having her home...it was also nice sending her back!
Once we got home we had to find a storage space here and get things unloaded and organized with that. I thought this might be a tiresome experience but it's finally over and we can move on. Done! Now on to selling some of the stuff that we haven't seen in about two years!
So, we're smack dab in the middle of trying to get the girls healthy...that's right, girls...plural. Ana now has what Aiva has and it's been doubly tiring trying to get the girls to bed and through the night for the past week. Did I mention that I also work full time??
We're getting close to Step Into Africa...for those two of you that faithfully read my blog, if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you still have time...www.worldvisionexperience.org/westerville. It's going to be at Westerville Christian Church from September 25-29. It should be something that should stay with you for a long time. I'm really looking forward to it....there's been so much work that has gone into it that I can hardly wait for it to actually be here.
Last but not least, I've started a new bible study on Thursdays and I'm really looking forward to it. We're doing a study by Priscilla Schrier, Beth Moore & Kay Arthur. It is really good and I'm praying for God's word for me and my life.
I think that pretty much got the two of you up to speed with the Jacobus life...there's been a few other things but that's a whole new blog...stay tuned for that in the next few weeks! Just a reminder...... only 101 Days, 6 Hours, 40 Minutes, and 51 Seconds left til Christmas! Time to get your shopping thing on!

Today is Saturday and we're in Nashville...rainy wet Nashville. I thought it was going to be really nice and warm. So much for that. Hopefully Ohio is getting better weather! Here's my top 5 for yesterday:
1) Got to work on time yesterday...it's a miracle. I had the whole family with me and I was the first one there!
2) I got Aiva's present to me for Mother's Day. She made it on preschool and the number one thing she loves about me is that I make good broccoli! Second is that she likes my pretty dresses!
3) I got my emails sent out to a "certain" group to see if they can make a guest appearance at Step Into Africa. I hope it works! I'll be scoring major points if so!
4) On the way to Nashville, Aiva said,"dad can you turn off the AC so I can warm down?" It was so funny at the time...She meant warm up!
5) I got Chipotle for dinner...I haven't had that in FOREVER. It's been practically a year and I could probably blog just about that but I won't. I only do that for Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream!

A little late but here is Wednesday's gratitude list...
1) Aiva got dressed so nicely today. Normally she ha all kinds of comments about what I pick out for her. Wednesday she actually put on and made no comments about her attire!
2) I finally got all of my stuff put together for my little presentation that I did today...you'll hear more later on that! I actually felt like I was doing something big!
3) Nate had dinner cooking and almost ready when I came home yesterday. He's a hard working mama...I mean man!
4) The girls had gymnastics as well. They both love jumping on the trampoline. Hearing them giggle made me laugh.
5) When we got home, Aiva jumped on her bike, Ana got in the wagon, we got the dog and we took a nice long walk. It was very refreshing to be out and about with my lovies!
Stay tuned for what happens today...

Dread
Tomorrow is finally D day. The day that I'm officially on the phones. I finished my last day of training yesterday and I'm absolutely dreading stepping into my actual new job. If I could turn the other way and run I probably would. Two Fridays ago I found out that 5 of my teammates and I are moving to another team. They knew at the beginning that five of us would have to leave yet they decided to hold off in telling us. This last week has been long and hard b/c I knew that this day would come that I would have to face the next day with another team. I just want this job to be over. I submitted resumes to quite a few churches so I'm hoping that one of the churches takes an interest in me. Two have actually responded so I'm praying for good things. I know that we are here for something but I'm still waiting for the plan to be unfolded. The good thing about moving here is that I've actually gotten closer to Adriene the gal that WCC hired to replace me. We are so much alike that it's unreal. We sit and gab on the phone like we're been friends forever. I really with that we have become friends sooner. I know that we would have been the best of friends Nate asked me yesterday why I always pick friends that are out of state. It's not like I plan it that way but it just happens. I really wish she were here so we could hang out more. The homesickness is getting better but I'm sure it will creep back up once the holidays arrive. Today Nate and I went shopping for the girls birthday party's. I never knew how difficult that this was going to be. Well see how things unfold. I can already sense a feeling of doubt in having to do this every year. What are we going to do!?! Things with Nate and I seems to be a little strained too. I think it's the whole thing of living with his parents and doing the stay home/working parent thing. I'm hoping that this get better once we do it more often. SO for those of you who might be reading my blog please pray for this church job. I really need this to come through. I really want to be happy and I know that this job at Dell is not it. I'm going to try to stay positive and see what happens but I knwo that I don't want to do this full time for the remaining days that I have. Help. I need your prayers!
