Prayer
I forgot to add this on my original post so I'm sorry for three posts in one day! If you could pray for my brother & sister in law, Steve & Jessica Jacobus, I would really appreciate it! Steve took a job with Cardinal Health and they will be moving from Nashville, TN to Wilmington, NC this week. This was a pretty quick decision and move for them. His brother, Matt, who also works for Cardinal, got him the job. The people who hired Steve didn't even get his license or social before they told him he got the job. They know and trust Matt so much that they knew they wanted Steve. It's very exciting but at the same time very scary. They have two mortgages (one from their house in Florida and the other from their house in Nashville) and are moving to a somewhat unfamiliar area. Pray that one or both of the houses sells and that they have a safe trip as they move everything down south. Also pray that they find a church where they can get really plugged in to so they continue to grow. They were so much a part of their church in Nashville that I'm sure it's going to be a hard transition but know all things are possible with God. Thanks for your prayers!

Prayer
To all my blogger buddies, I'm asking you to pray for another special little boy from our church. He was in a car that was in an accident yesterday and is currently in the PICU at Children's Hospital. He is having swelling and possibly bleeding on the brain. When it comes to head/brain injuries, my family is all too familiar, because of Nate's accident. Nate had a lot of swelling with his injury but God is good and we all, pretty much, know how the story ends. God is the Great Physician and can heal all...Here's my personal prayer for Garret tonight:
G - Great strength for Wendy & Aaron, Garret's mom & dad. When something like this happens to a child it totally rocks your world.
A - Alertness: that Garret would wake up. He's been in and out of consciousness.
R - Rest so his brain can heal.
R - Recovery so he can get back to school.
E - Effects from having a head injury:that he would go back to being a fun-loving, active little boy!
T - That the swelling would go down.
"For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds," says the Lord." (Jeremiah 30:17)

Sam
Here is a picture that was taken of the Bish family on Sunday. Today, Sam was supposed to start his chemo. I hope and pray that everything goes OK. This has got to be such a confusing thing for him and my heart just hurts for everything that he has to see and hear. Be thinking and praying for him and his family this week as he goes through chemo. I'll update you with more health updates at the end of the week.

Sam
There is a couple in our small group, who have an 8 year old son, Sam. Their names are Mike & Cindy Bish. Along with Sam, they have two other kids, Aubrey & Kaitlyn. They just found out yesterday that Sam has a very rare form of cancer and today they found out that the cancer has spread. This is an email that I recently received from a girl in our group:"Sam made it through his biopsy. They also put a port in his neck for him to receive his chemo treatments starting early next week. He is out of recovery and they get to bring him home tonight. (It was originally planned for him to stay over night.) The Drs. have found more spots on his lungs and the cancer is in both of his legs. Their saying that this is a very aggressive cancer."
My heart is breaking for this family and what they're going through. There are no words that can be expressed to describe what a sick feeling that's got to be. All you can do is pray, so pray is what we'll do. Here's my prayer for the Bish Family:
S: Strength to get through what lies ahead.
A: An abundance of comfort from family and friends.
M: Miracle - that's right...we're praying for a MIRACLE!
U: Understanding for what the doctors will be explaining to Mike & Cindy. Dr's lingo can be very confusing.
E: Extra special care from the nursing staff. Sam needs a lot of TLC!
L: Love poured out on the girls. I'm sure they might feel a little jealous - I pray that they will be spoiled as well!
B: Blessings to come from this trial. We don't know why this is happening but God always has something good planned, even when the day seems dark...even when the load is too heavy to carry...even when you can't go further.
I: Indescribable peace that passes ALL understanding. Help Cindy and Mike to feel the loving arms of God wrapped all the way around them so that it's so tight there's no doubt that it's God.
S: Safe travels to and from the hospital and doctor's appointments.
H: Health - While Sam's immune system is low while on chemo, Lord God, please keep all viruses and sicknesses from entering his body.
Join me in praying for this special little boy. I'll post updates as they are available. If you have children or family close, hug them a little tighter tonight and love on them a little longer.

Rest
Well, I finally finished my second week of training and I'm so happy that it's over. At lunch yesterday I was thinking about looking for another job but by the time I left I was feeling a little more confident about the whole Dell thing. I was able to sell one real computer and two fake computers yesterday. We had two secret shopper calls and I was able to sell a computer to both and then I had to sit with a mentor before leaving yesterday and I sold a computer to that person as well. All in all it wasn't that bad and I'm starting to feel a little more confident that I'm going to be OK. As long as I see that I'm advancing a little quicker than the others I think I'll be OK. I just don't want to be clueless and make a fool out of myself. After the week that I had I felt that rest was finally due me. We were supposed to go to the TN fair today but Nate was sick do we decided to hang at home. A great idea I feel. It was good to not have to do anything. After studying and molding into a sponge through the week it was good to not have to think of anything. I was able to chat with my parents a couple times today and we even gave the web cam a try with unfortunately no success. Hopefully tomorrow we can have some luck. I think I got us hooked up with Pal Talk so we're going to give it a whirl tomorrow. My dad sent some pics today that I had a ball looking at. Makes me miss home but I loved to take a mental road trip. Makes me long for September 22 weekend all the more. I think I'm going to be able to come home. My trainer said that we're going to be in training from 8-5 for the next few weeks but I'm praying that it's still going to be Monday through Friday for at least a few weeks too. We'll see. I keep praying! Well, I have to cut outta here I want to cozy on up in bed with a magazine and just veg out before I have to wake up to the kids wailing and getting into things that they shouldn't! Here;s to a great rest of the weekend and an even better week. Au revoir!
