Word-filled Wednesday

Today's Word-filled Wednesday comes from Colossians 1:11 that says "His glorious power will make you patient and strong enough to endure anything, and you will be truly happy."

There was a staff meeting a few years ago when Greg asked someone what he could pray for them and they responded with "patience". His comment was, "Are you sure you want me to pray for realize that if we pray for patience, God will make you be patient and it may take a LONG time for something to happen." I guess I had never thought of it that way before...he was totally right. Ever since that time I laugh whenever some one prays for patience and ask them specifically, "Are you sure you want me to pray for patience?"

The great thing about having the Holy Spirit living in us is that we are already filled with patience, peace, and all the other fruits of the spirit. We don't need to ask for it...WE ALREADY HAVE IT! We just have to choose it! Now that's good news! That's your "Word" for the day...make it a great one!
